Daniel Tambasco is an Italian-Australian Singer, Songwriter and Entertainer from Sydney, Australia.
Born to Neapolitan parents, he discovered his voice at the age of 14 and trained under the vocal guidance of Claire Poole (The Claire Poole Singers).
This then led to his classical training at the
Sydney Conservatorium of Music where he studied ‘Advanced Diploma of Opera’ and
‘Masters in Music (Opera Performance).’
Working as an independent artist and freelancer, he has worked in the Australian Club Entertainment Industry, ‘Opera Australia’ and other organisations performing in various locations within Australia and overseas.
While Daniel possesses a strong ability to capture an audience with his unique vocal range, tone and timbre, he also enjoys bringing back nostalgic tunes from
Musical Theatre, Opera, Classic Rock and Popular Music.
He is passionate about crossover music and has maintained his primary focus in this area by mixing classical/operatic vocals with other genres of music, in both old and new repertoire.
In the past, Daniel has been the sole organiser of concert fundraiser events, representing and supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Pancare.
Winner of the 2017 Australian Club Entertainment (ACE) Awards in the ‘Rising Star’ category, nominated for the Australian Entertainment Mo Award in 2018 and a double nomination for ‘Best Male Voice’ and ‘Rising Star’ for the ACE Awards in 2019.
When Daniel is not performing live on stage, he will be working in the recording studio on projects such as singles, an EP or a full album. The first EP recording was ‘Reinvented’ that was released in 2018, a fresh new take on classic and well known tunes. Daniel hopes that ‘Reinvented’ will be a great way to introduce listeners to crossover music.
In 2021, Daniel released a mega tribute album titled
‘A Tribute to Christopher Cross,’ which is a 2-Disc album that celebrates the music of Christopher Cross who is one of Daniel’s major inspirations.
Daniel’s taste in music is quite broad as he admires many different artists that inspire him to try new and different things, not commonly practised by classical tenor vocalists.
“I love artists from Marilyn Monroe to Marilyn Manson and anything in between” he has comically stated and when it comes to crossover music, he lives by his personal motto;
“The sky is not our limit - we can go far beyond it”
